Name Caitlin Murray
Job Title and Organisation Research and Admin Assistant

MSc Foundations of Clinical Psychology, University of Southampton

Introduction/Background (experience, qualifications, current work/research, etc.) I am a current MSc student who previously studied BSc Psychology at the University of Southampton. I have always been interested in autism, and have worked with children in schools and activity clubs. A placement at a research and diagnostic centre for autism has given me clinical experience and increased my understanding of the needs of children and young people with autism and their families.  My current research for my dissertation focuses on school anxiety for adolescents with autism.
What does the ACoRNS project mean to you? I am passionate about research having a direct benefit to children and young people with autism, and the ACoRNS project aims to directly engage the autism community in identifying research priorities and actively works to demonstrate best educational practice for children and young people with autism.
Areas of interest My main areas of interest are anxiety in children and adolescents with autism, clinical and educational research and policy, and evidence-based interventions in autism.
